QUESTION: How do you "upload" content for Copilot to pull from. e.g., if you want it to write a synopsis of a 20 page scientific journal articles in a paragraph of laymen’s terms?
ANSWER: First, it’s important to always remember to check the results for accuracy. Second, to use a file in copilot it must be saved on your OneDrive. Then it can be as simple as clicking the paperclip or entering the file name. Finally, getting the output in laymen’s terms... Your results are directly related to your prompt. in other words, maybe “asking for an outline of key points in plain language or everyday terms” would provide you with what you are looking for.
QUESTION: Can you teach copilot to write in your personal voice/style?
ANSWER: Besides just checking the conversational style that you pick, there are several ways to get more personal results. The easiest way is to use your prompt. You can either provide an example of a writing style in your prompt or explain a writing style in your prompt.
QUESTION: If we all start taking Copilots suggestions, won't we all begin to just sound alike?
ANSWER: That’s an interesting question. Your results are as generic or as specific as your prompt. The more information about who you are, what you want and your intended output, the more copilot can tailor it’s results.

QUESTION: Do we automatically get Copilot in our Microsoft systems or do we have to download them separately?
ANSWER: There is a free version of Copilot, which includes what Microsoft is calling, “foundational capabilities” essentially the GPT portion of the application. Plus, Designer is also Free. However, in order to integrate with office applications, you need the paid version.
QUESTION: I don't see copilot in Outlook do I have to add it to make it enable?
ANSWER: The integration with outlook is available in the paid version of copilot. The Free version offers the web-based Chat considered the Foundational Capabilities. QUESTION: This is a great time saving tool. How does this tool work for transcribing a meeting? Creating an Agenda for a meeting?
ANSWER: That’s a fun question. According to Microsoft if your using Microsoft Teams within your organization for a meeting, it can transcribe the meeting. It can also Keep a list of topics discussed and makes suggestions about questions to ask and more! But I haven’t tested this yet, so I’m just telling you what’s on the “getting started with copilot teams meetings” page on Microsoft! As far as creating an agenda, that could be accomplished in Word, using copilot.
QUESTION: Can Copilot read a PDF and fill in an Excel form?
ANSWER: I can say, “yes” Copilot can read a PDF. I tested that attaching a PDF to copilot and asking it for a list of the key points, and it did. I’m not sure what you mean by “fill in a form” in excel. But, Yes, Copilot can review a PDF.
QUESTION: Do you need Office 365 to use Copilot?
ANSWER: Yes
QUESTION: What about privacy issues surrounding copilot? For example HIPAA
ANSWER: Without knowing exactly how you intend to use Copilot I can only tell you how Microsoft secures your data. The free copilot has commercial data protection. The paid Copilot has Enterprise-Grade Data Protection. And in both cases, it’s up to the user to secure their access.
